Anyone can make this cake. It’s beautiful, delicious and extremely easy to make. I love baking cakes but I never have the time to spend hours trying to decorate them. I do wish I had the time to decorate a cake for several hours, but mom life is just too busy. So my answer to a beautiful cake is a simple Continue reading “Spring Cake”
Just like the title suggests, this cake is so simple. It only requires eggs, sugar, and flour. The creams and fillings are endless when it comes to using this cake as a base. Its my number one go-to cake, and I probably can make it with my eyes closed. Not to brag or anything, I just want to point out how easy it is to make this cake. After all, this was my very first cake I made 15 years ago. Continue reading “Simple Sponge Cake”
These potato cheese pierogies are really simple to make. They are my favorite pierogies to make because the dough never falls apart when I cook them. Plus they only require 5 ingredients. I usually double or triple this recipe and freeze them since they are a quick and easy dinner option. Continue reading “Potato & 4 Cheese Pierogies”
These Farmers Cheese Cookies are soft and chevy on the outside and have a delicious sweet cheese filling inside. As long as I remember, they were alway number one on mom’s desserts to make list. But for some reason, after I got married I forgot all about them. Until, a couple of weeks ago. Continue reading “Farmers Cheese Cookies”
Im so excited to share this Super Easy Omelet. My daughter made most of it! Since the name of my site is Kitchen Development, I’m trying to focus more on how to cook with kids and how to help them develop their kitchen skills. Sometimes, I think my kids are still too young to cook but they always show so much interest in helping me. I know that I’m not the best person when it comes to having patience, especially when it means I get to watch my kids make a mess and be ok with that. But I also know the younger they start learning and experimenting the easier it will be for them when the grow up. Continue reading “Super Easy Omelet”
This easy quinoa pilaf dish came to me as an idea one day. I was preparing to do my rice pilaf (plov) because I needed something quick and easy to make for lunch, and I know that everyone loves plov in our family. Then I thought to myself, can I make this plov any healthier? And right away I remembered about my favorite nutrition book, The Men’s Health Big Book of Food and Nutrition. Continue reading “Quinoa Pilaf”
Cooking with toddlers can be tough. So I wanted to share a couple of tips and tricks that get me through the day. Let me tell you, my daughter is only three and my son is one but they love helping me in the kitchen. Since they are so young, there is not a lot of things I can let them do in the kitchen. Still, they help me with almost everything I do.
This absolutely delicious salad is full of superfoods. All of the vegetables are filled with lots of vitamins and minerals that are beneficial to your body. I was raised in a family where healthy eating was a habit. My dad would always read books and articles on proper nutrition and constantly remind mom what we should and shouldn’t eat. Of course mom always Continue reading “Vegan Superfood Salad”
These crepes are filled with sweet cream cheese. These are so delicious they melt in your mouth. Literally, no need to chew them (you probably should though). Evrytime I make these they always disappear so fast I have to eat a few before I serve them because I know there will not be any left. This is one of my signature dishes that I make for parties and family gatherings. Continue reading “Crepes with Cream Cheese Filling”
This healthy and delicious Quinoa and Turkey Stuffed Pepper dish has been one of our favorite meals for a while. When my husband and I just got married, we were pretty strict on eating healthy. I created healthy recipes and made sure each ingredient had good nutritional value in it. Five years and two kids later, we are not as committed to our healthy eating habits. Nevertheless, this Quinoa Stuffed Peppers dish stuck with us through all those years. I love making it because its so easy and simple to make and its so delicious my very picky toddlers always ask for seconds!
